Correcting an Agreement After it has been Signed
If you have already sent your Agreement to Mediate and it has been signed by the parties, but you later notice an error or need to update a term, you can still make changes.
How to Edit a Signed Agreement
- On the “Agreement to Mediate” page, click on the “Amend this Agreement” button which is located at the bottom of the page.
- Follow the instructions on how to make the changes.
Important: Signature Reset
To maintain legal integrity, any manual change to the document will automatically reset and void all existing electronic signatures.
Because the document has changed, the original signatures are no longer valid for the new version. You will need to:
- Notify your clients: Let them know a correction was made.
- Request new signatures: Ask your clients to log back into their Mediation Hub to review and re-sign the updated agreement.
Note: We recommend double-checking all dates and fee structures before the initial send to avoid having to request multiple signatures from your parties.
